Roberto D. Lachica, M.D. is a board-certified aesthetic plastic surgeon. He has practiced for 23 years and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has received multiple awards from patients and colleagues alike for his exceptional patient care.
Dr. Lachica received his medical degree from the University of Chicago-Pritzker(1992). His postgraduate training was in General Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee- Memphis(1992-1998).

Dr. Lachica specializes in procedures that reshape the breast and abdomen (breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, mommy makeovers, and liposuction).
He has spent his entire career gaining the knowledge, skill, and experience to perfect his techniques and deliver excellent care to patients wishing to look their very best.
When performing consultations, Dr. Lachica views each patient as unique. He realizes that although every patient knows how they want to look, not every patient may know clearly which procedure(s) will produce that look. He understands each patient’s aesthetic goals, and knows how to communicate how these goals can be safely achieved. He constantly strives to improve his results not only through constant self-critique, but also though learning from other experts in the field.
Dr. Lachica also performs surgical facial rejuvenation and surgical contouring procedures of the buttocks, thighs, and arms (BBL, buttock lift, thigh lift, arm lift).

Background and Experience
As a previous academician, Dr. Lachica provided comprehensive plastic surgery care requiring specialized skills, including microsurgery, to diverse patient groups, while developing a reputation as an expert in complex reconstruction of the hand and lower extremities. He has given several national presentations and is often invited to lecture on these topics. His peer-reviewed contributions in literature appear in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Breast, and Craniofacial Surgery.
Dr. Lachica has been a teacher and mentor to 21 generations of plastic surgery residents. As such, he maintains a keen interest in breast reconstruction for cancer (implant and tissue-based) and reconstruction of the face and nose after skin cancer/MOHS surgery.

Personal Life
Dr. Lachica grew up in the Philippines. He is the son of of a surgeon and a psychiatrist. His wife of 25 years, Judith Ruiz M.D., is an anesthesiologist. Together, they have 3 children: Anna Mercedes, Emilio, and Alejandro. Dr. Lachica’s hobbies include cycling, playing the guitar, and cooking. He is fluent in Filipino and Spanish.
